That concludes our whirlwind tour of the garbage dump and neighboring sewage processing facility. Hopefully I wasn’t too negative, but I wanted to give you a sense that there really are problems out there and I’m not just blowing smoke.

In the next chapter I’ll discuss the inherent struggle of teaching and presenting this material in a gospel context—both to set the stage for the presentations in the ensuing chapters, and also to help set a tone for you if and when you find yourself dealing with this material as a leader in your home, school, ward, or stake.

I then launch into the remaining ten chapters, each of which treats one of the problems introduced here in greater detail. I also present specific strategies and approaches from technical, social, and spiritual perspectives.
